www.CommunityArtists.co.uk is a free to use search facility, which enables employers to quickly find a shortlist of artists who accurately meet their requirements. Online registration for artists is also free. Community Artists Limited does not vet artists who are listed on this site and it is the employers' duty to obtain appropriate references and conduct CRB checks. Community Art is an art form based in a community setting. It may embrace any or all art forms, but is always characterised by participation and dialogue with the community. |
I either initiate and faciliate creative writing/creativity workshops and projects, or work with others to taylor make unique and memorable workshops/projects.
I am fascinated by organic forms (particularly microscopic), patterns, structures and light. I interpret these shapes through using waste translucent plastics in suspended sculptures.
Photography, photo sculpture & photographic art therapy workshops combined with personal development courses for all ages.
I also teach Art & Textiles in High School spec in GCSE Art. Art catch-up
Textile Artist providing workshops and exhibitions for all ages and abilities, using dyes, recycled fabrics, plastics, sewing and bonding and designs for community quilts/tapestries and commissions.
With a mobile etching press/equipment I run PRINTMAKING workshops for all age groups/abilities. Fun playscheme sessions to Masterclass level. Also POETRYPRINTS with Aussie poet Lisa D'Onofrio. Unique!
I make artists books as sculpture, using pop-up forms, collage, print, and paper decoration, and run workshops teaching a variety of techniques for making pop-up and simple books, cards and sculpture.
